Recommended thumbnail size

Create your artwork as a square image around 1280 x 1280 px. A standard YouTube thumbnail is 1280 x 720, if you upload an image that size it will center the image by default.

Keep important faces, logos, and text away from the exact center hole.
Avoid putting important text close to the outer circular edge.
Export the finished thumbnail as JPG, PNG, or WebP.
